When The Neni Market™ first launched, the mission was simple: inspire kids to dream big, create with purpose, and share Guam’s culture through entrepreneurship. What started as a learning experience for participants ages 7–12 has grown into something much bigger—real small businesses making a real impact.
Today, several participants from Cycle 1 are still in business. Brothers Ezra & Malachi O'brien have continued to impress us with their creativity and commitment. These young entrepreneurs have not only kept their ideas alive but expanded their product lines, showing that their creativity and determination can spark lasting change. Their products are more than items for sale—they are stories of Guam, designed and handcrafted with passion by the island’s next generation of innovators.

From handmade crafts to cultural designs inspired by their passion for nature and love for the island and our culture, each brand continues to shine a light on what it means to create locally, honor tradition, and share the Håfa Adai spirit with the community. By staying committed to their vision, these kids are proving that age is no barrier to entrepreneurship and that Guam’s culture can be celebrated in new and exciting ways.
The Neni Market™ is proud to see its young alumni thriving. Their journey from curious participants to confident business owners is a powerful reminder of the importance of mentorship, community support, and believing in the potential of youth.
As these Cycle 1 entrepreneurs continue to grow their businesses, they also inspire the next wave of kids entering The Neni Market™. Their success tells every young dreamer: with creativity, resilience, and heart, anything is possible.
We invite the community to support these young entrepreneurs like Ezra & Malachi O'brien the next time you see them popped up at your local market events. They are doing amazing work and we are very proud of them. - Victor Calvo (Program Director)
